Dear Pastor Rich:
I had the opportunity to attend last weekend’s Encounter at your church. First of all, thank you so much for all the preparation, time and prayer that I know went into this weekend. It was apparent that this was not a “whipped up”, throw it together weekend but that much prayer, time and energy went into it. Thank you for preparing the way for the Lord to come and meet with us. Please accept my husband and my thanks for an awesome weekend. Thank you for the opportunity to leave behind some baggage and come away a lighter, brighter person. Each and every one of your pastors who shared did a fabulous job. I truly appreciated Pastor Annette; her kindness, her leading and words for me. Please thank all those who gave so generously of their time and energy for us last weekend. We enjoyed worshipping with you on Sunday~just a little taste of heaven! Please make sure to look us up if you’re ever down this way~we’d love to reciprocate the hospitality! Wishing you abundant blessings as you continue to minister and share Him.

The siginificant part of the Encounter is when I nailed my past sins on the cross. I feel such a release.

I realized I don't need to run from God, instead I need to run to God.

I was able to be set free from bitterness.

I realized at the Encounter that I was taking advantage of God's mercy all the years of being a Christian. In the Closing Doors session I realized I was walking in willful sin. I realized that I needed to repent. During the ministry time I was on the floor and could not get up. Pastor Bob prayed for me and it was as if something evil left me. That night I was delivered from drugs and have been sober for over 7 months.

I was in one of the men's small groups on Friday night when it was a time to share what we wanted to happen during the Encounter. One of the men seemed to be attending the Encounter just he was coming from others. He shared that he was not going to set himself up to expect too much. At the end of the Encounter the gentleman was baptized in Holy Spirit and he testified that the Lord did great things in his life. Those who know him said they have seen a tremendous change.

The ceremony of nailing my sins on the cross brought a tremendous release from the guilt I lived with for years.

My family and I experienced freedom after attending the Encounter.

This was my second Encounter and I learned some new things and the Lord helped me to forgive someone.

I realized that I was living in a sinful relationship during the Encounter. After the Encounter I took a stand for the Lord and I am no longer walking in sexual sin. My life has turned around. I am sold out for Jesus.

I was very impressed with the session on Sexuality. It was very balanced and it was good to see the church deal with the subject of sexuality. It helped me understand why God is against sexual immorality.
Attendee
The sexuality class was very appropriate for me because it represented my life and the changes that need to take place.

At our last Encounter there was a powerful spontaneous time of worship that we have never seen at any other Encounter. The Lord always moves in a unique way at each Encounter.

I came away from the Encounter refreshed, renewed, and refilled. The session on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit was fantastic for me!

The Encounter opened my eyes to so much on who I am and what I need to work on. The session on forgiveness showed me how much unforgiveness I have been holding on to and how it has affected my life in a negative way.

At one Encounter we had a gentleman come to an Encounter Weekend from a church in Eastern Washington. Because of changes in his life, the church sent several people to the next Encounter Weekend and are considering doing Encounter Weekends in their church.

We had someone attend the Encounter right after accepting Jesus in their life. They were wanting to get baptized after the Encounter, but acknowledged that they were addicted to marijuana and were not willing (and absolutely not able) to stop using marijuana. However, in the next week they found the desire to smoke marijuana left them. They have not used marijuana for the last seven months. They know this is a miracle!! Since the Encounter they have grown any many ways in their life-they are sold out for Jesus.
Cell Pastor
I was able to let go of unforgiveness and really received a touch from God. He began a new work in me and assured me He will complete all that He has begun.

The Encounter was very effective for me because I had head knowledge, but not the Word of God to back it up.
Attendee
The class on the Baptism of the Holy Spirt was very helpful because I was taught that speaking in tongues was not biblical and I was able to see the Scriptural evidence for tongues.
